Comments:    My love of fast/fun cars started in 1970 when I bought a 1967 Corvette Stingray....it was my boyfriends fault! That car bought me freedom and I got a little crazy. The 2nd Corvette nearly caused my Dad to almost disown me (he is a die-hard Ford man). Then there were a series of Road Runners, TransAms, Cudas, etc, and my last fun ride was a purple 2004 Chevy SSR...now that was a sweet machine!

I got married in 1974 and divorced in 1975....between the 66 Corvette and the Road Runner.

It was time to leave town.....so I moved to Nags Head, NC. I had a great time...I build houses and later worked for the Town of Nags Head...I like to refer to this time in my life as 'my 5 year vacation'!

For some unknown reason I decided I should move to Northern Virginia and get a 'real job'. I got married in 1987 and divorced in 2007....thank goodness that is over! I do much better with rabbits and cats!

In 1995 I met my first house rabbit and my life was forever changed. Now this was true love (and yes it set the road to divorce)! In 1999 I founded a rescue for domestic rabbits....Bunny Lu Adoptions. In February 2001 our IRS application was approved granting us 501c3 public charity status (and allowing all donations made to Bunny Lu to be tax deductible). Bunny Lu is nationally recognized. Due to my dedication and hard work Bunny Lu received a donation in 2007 that allowed us to buy a permanent home for the rescue. I am the resident caretaker of the rabbits and the director of operations. We educate people about living with domestic rabbits, provide assistance, rescue and rehome rabbits. Don't think I have a cushy job.....I feed the bunnies twice every day, clean litterboxes, answer phones, emails, meet with/educate people, vet runs, trailer runs for loads of hay or other supplies, tend to sick bunnies, bunnysit, set up at pet expos, fundraising, etc, etc...my work day is typically 10+ hours, 7 days a week...no money, but I love what I do.
