Hello fellow classmates just wantd to take a moment to say 2009 was an exciting year full of more good than bad for me and I hope for you too... Wishing all a very Happy New Year hope that 2010 will find more classmates reconnecting and keeping in touch- life is too short not to appreciate the ones we have known in the past and those currently we enjoy in our present. After a Reunion I am always filled with warm memories of those happy and sad memories I have of my years at Kecoughtan, High School Days really do shape us for our place in the world. Thanks for being part of my world :-) and Thanks to the committee for having this web site to help us reconnect!

Wow..... Where did the weekend go? Friday's exitement and expectations were huge. In a blink of an eye (and 4 extra strength tylenol) the weekend was over.

It was wonderful to see and talk with so many special wonderful classmates. There just never seems to be enough time to spend the quality time with our friends. Looking forward to many more gatherings and hopefully I will take more pictures and drink less wine!!!!

Now, speaking of pictures, I am axious to see pictures.....however, I am a little underteched so anyone feel free to correspond back to me and let me know where we can view the wonders of photography from our great reunion.

I would also like to take this opportunity to mention how special the staff was at the Crowne Plaza. They maintained wonderful attitudes and service throughout the entire event. Hat's off to the Plaza..

Thanks go out to everyone - Everyone I worked with on the committee were awesome and fully committed to providing a successful fun and exciting event. Thanks to all classmates whose attendance made the package complete. GO KHS !!!!!! Luv ya' all Andrea Cantrell

On behlaf of the committee, I'd like to thank all those who attended for their support and particpation! It was wonderful seeing everyone again. To those who were unable to join us this year - we hope to see you next time around.}

_{We'd also like to give a special thanks to our reunion sponsors who generously donated additional monies which enabled the reunion committee to keep the event cost at a mininum without compromising our vision. All I can do is reiterate what the others have said: Ava and I had a great time, and our thanks go to all who helped in pulling this together.

It was wonderful seeing friends I haven't seen in a whole lot of years, and I hope that more - who were not able to come this time - will be able to come the next time.

Jerry I really can't express how much I appreciated every time I emailed and sent out a help request and most of all I love the Nametag. It also gave me a memory tag to put with the scrapbooks I Am making for family. I know you helped me each time I sent out an SOS......and you were always so pleasant and diplomatic at every call. I know with everyone calling out probably at the same time, I was just another issue to try to solve. It meant a lot to be considered important enough for you to consider taking the time to respond. For that I am so grateful.

Please stay intouch....and I love all your extra's to make the website so much fun.

Well, on behalf of the rest of the Committee - who all seem to be strangely absent from this forum - you're very welcome. Our goal was to raise the bar a notch or two and I think we succeeded beyond even OUR expectations. In a nutshell, it was all done with teamwork and individual accomplishment of goals and objectives with actual deliverables due on certain dates. And we automated our asses off! Sorry, but no other words quite convey it. The website service that we used was the first major find . . . but a website is only as good as the people who use it. And we had many people who sent a check for their tickets but never came NEAR the website. So much for using it to collect accurate numbers. I finally couldn't take it anymore and sought out and located a virtual SharePoint server where we could enter registration data and collaborate. That got us through the crunch and enabled us to give the hotel some reasonably accurate numbers. Although I would have liked to be able to arrive at an exact number, I knew that it just wasn't a reasonable expectation. We came VERY close though.

And I've always been one to add a little something interesting above and beyond, so the big Sponsorship certificate for appreciation (I was proudest of that), the Saturday nametags, the memorial wall, and some of the latest videos were all my doing.

What a Grand Night. I loved evey minute. Everyone involved in making it Wonderful I want to sincerely thank. I loved seeing my long time friends, and great Classmates. Some Classmates I knew in Class and then didn't get to personally know them, but Friday and Saturday Night I got to talk and get to know them more then I had the chance to in School.

What wonderful people they and all of us are.......I am very fortunate to be in the company of such wonderul,exciting, beautiful souls... I consider each and everyone a wonderful friend. I hope we all stay in touch. I am easy to find and stay in touch with, so help me stay in touch!!!!

Again, how many times can you express the Thanks to ALL of the Reunion Committee...that was unbelievable hard work, and ALL I CAN SAY IS THE FOOD, THE SITE, THE ARRANGEMENTS, AND SPECIAL NOTATIONS TO THE CLASSMATES THAT WERE NOT ABLE TO CELEBRATE WITH US, WAS WITH MY SINCERE APPRECIATION....MOST THANKFUL.......

Our reunion committee did a FABULOUS job. I know they worked many hours for many months and it was worth it. Everything - the food - the name tags - the band - THE VENUE - and the great time we all had seeing our old school friends - made the night one of my new favortie memories. I am so glad I came to the party. WOW!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

Thanks to the Committee for a 40th Reunion that will not be forgotten It was just WONDERFUL! I saw so many friends and remembered such good times from those magical high school years. Can't wait to post some of my pictures here & on Facebook

To my knowledge, there're no digital files anywhere that we can access. I've often THOUGHT about doing it but the time it would take and finding, paying for a place yo host them would be problematic.

Hi, all. Do any of you know if the yearbook photos are digitized anywhere? I lost most of my possessions (including my yearbook) back in the 70s when I was playing rock-n-roll with road-bands.

If not, that's ok - it'll keep from scaring everyone away from the reunion!

Dunno yet if I'll be there, or not. I'd like to. But, 3K mile trip, time off work not earning, air fare, rental car, meals, hotel, etc..

And, as of now there are only a handful of people I knew 4 decades ago who are also planning to go, some of whom were ships passing in the night even in '68.

OTOH, I missed the 5th, 10th, 20th, 30th, etc..

Anybody know if any of those cheap motels on Buckroe Beach are still running, safe, and clean?

I would like to know how we can get a hold of missing year books!! I lost all of mine when my parents divorced and ran into Chuck Eckels and he gave me his as he said it didn't mean anything to him ( go figure) and then I came upon another classmate who asked to borrow it and it has never been returned :(

anyone know how to find copies or if it is silly to even consider finding any?

Well, if you're trying to find these people, maybe I should delete my posts--don't wanna get sued.

If you have a '67 yearbook, maybe she's in there. I'm also assuming that the math teacher section of the yearbook shows all the math teachers, including any who were gp teachers and taught math as a sideline.

And, if you liked Catch 22 the movie, read the book every few years. Some new wrinkle emerges with every reading over the past 4 decades. Years ago, some of the guys I flew with in the AF were talking about Catch 22, and we were amazed at how well Heller captured some of the nuances of life in an operational squadron, esp. the organizational politics. A masterpiece of modern American literature, methinks.

Yikes, I had forgotten about Catch 22, Rosarian? Was that the guy's name? I do remember Orson Wells as the General and his side kick, the blonde bombshell. That entire movie was one that you could watch over and over and still not catch all of the jokes and the philosophies. I'm smiling just thinking about it.

Well, ST was probably not much older than us, wonder where this gal is now. Hoping we can encourage some of our teachers to attend this reunion, I'm reaching out to some now. Don't think I will be successful in finding ST for you but maybe, LOL
